The department advances knowledge through state‑of‑the‑art biomedical and pharmaceutical research aimed at improving understanding of disease processes and developing more effective therapies.
Job DescriptionThe Graduate Teaching Assistant supports faculty in maintaining and stocking the laboratory, delivering pharmaceutics compounding laboratory instruction, facilitates student learning, ensures compliance with laboratory standards, and assists with course‑related activities.
Job Location & HoursThe student employee will perform most or all job duties at: FWSOP - Congdon Budling.
Work hours may vary depending on departmental needs; however, student employees are limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. This position requires up to 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty in lab preparation, instruction, and supervision of compounding activities
- Support student skill development in dosage form preparation, calculations, and aseptic technique
- Ensure adherence to safety and laboratory protocols
- Prepare materials and maintain lab inventory and organization
- Enrollment in the HPU PharmD Program
- Strong background in pharmaceutics and/or compounding
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
