, is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join their team. This SEN Support Worker role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children and young people with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) who is passionate about helping every pupil reach their full potential.
The successful SEN Support Worker will provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with teachers and therapists to meet each pupil's individual educational, communication and personal development needs. This role may also involve supporting pupils with sensory needs, personal care and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with PMLD, ASC and a range of complex learning needs.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
- Assisting with learning, communication and sensory‑based activities.
- Supporting pupils with personal care where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils' emotional, social and educational development.
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Have experience supporting pupils with PMLD, ASC or complex needs.
- Be patient, caring, resilient and adaptable.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be confident supporting pupils with personal care where required.
- Have an understanding of sensory needs and communication difficulties.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Have a fully checkable work history.
This SEN Support Worker role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must satisfy safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
