Part‑Time Instructor Pool – Noncredit – Emergency Medical Technologies (EMTV) Vocational
Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of adjunct faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part‑time Faculty instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.
Candidates must provide proof of licensure.
Starting noncredit adjunct rates: $102.90 per hour – Lecture; $82.33 per hour – Lab. With an advanced degree: $107.87 per hour – Lecture; $86.30 per hour – Lab.
Minimum Qualifications- Any bachelor’s degree AND two years of experience.
- OR any associate degree AND six years of experience.
- OR possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to all of the above.
Candidates making an application on the basis of equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency in addition to all other required material AND evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, culture, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.
If the title of your degree as stated on your transcripts does not exactly match one of the degree titles listed in the minimum qualifications, you must request an equivalency review and submit conclusive supporting documents at the time of application. Those documents include a completed SBCC Equivalency Crosswalk and a narrative synopsis of your educational background justifying equivalency.

- Lifting, carrying materials to and from teaching location.
- Pushing, pulling assistive tools for transporting materials.
- Regular operation of a computer keyboard, calculator, and other normal office equipment.
- Reading a variety of complex materials.
- Mobility as required on campus and between locations to monitor student activities.
