• Assist Horticulture and Agriculture Agents with programming.
• Conduct school enrichment programs and provide technical support to manage public garden facilities.
• Assist agents in facilitating Master Gardener Volunteer program.
• Be available to serve the citizens of Onslow County during disasters, if called upon.

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training in environmental education, horticulture, or agriculture is preferred.
• Background or experience in environmental education and/or horticulture/agriculture.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
• Strong organizational and people skills.
• Experience with pond management, irrigation management, or agricultural equipment is a plus.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable personal vehicle; must not have more than 3 points in a 3-year period nor any DWI convictions.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with flexibility; occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job; no commercial driver's license required.
