Responsibilities Include- Providing targeted small-group and individualized interventions in reading and mathematics using evidence-based instructional practices.
- Utilizing formal and informal assessment measures to collect, analyze, and interpret student performance data to guide instructional decision-making and monitor student growth.
- Conducting ongoing progress monitoring to evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust instruction based on student needs.
- Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, academic support staff, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention plans and accommodations for students with learning differences.
- Partnering with families and students, as appropriate, to review psycho educational evaluations, identify learning needs, and support student success.
- Maintaining current knowledge of research, professional development, and best practices related to learning disabilities, differentiated instruction, intervention strategies, and academic support services.
- Supporting a student-centered learning environment that promotes confidence, independence, and academic achievement for diverse learners.
- Assist with admissions testing.
Qualified candidates should hold a degree in Special Education or Reading Specialist certification and demonstrate experience supporting students with mild learning disabilities, particularly in the areas of reading and mathematics intervention. The ideal candidate will have expertise in delivering research-based, multisensory instruction and implementing best practices for students with reading and math disabilities in grades 5–8.
