Job DescriptionThe student occupying this role will be chiefly responsible for the management, organization, and preparation of materials for modules employed on the HPU Community Mobile Lab. Additional duties will include the design and set up of Mobile Lab activities at Open Houses, Sci Quest, and the High Point Public Library and the deployment of these activities. Other duties as assigned. Students employed in this position will develop skills in science communication, community engagement, project management, teamwork, and creative educational program development.
Job Location / Hours RequiredThe candidate will perform most job duties in Wanek School of Natural Sciences. Some travel may be required when the Mobile Lab is set up at sites off campus in High Point. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, this position requires 4 hours per week with potential for up to 6 hours per week. Total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours.
Responsibilities- Organize materials for Mobile Community Lab in storage space
- Determine material replacement/replenishment needs in consultation with faculty
- Assist with module design and development for deployment on Mobile Community Lab
- Assist with module preparation and setup for Open Houses, Sci Quest events, and High Point Public Library Events
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students
