Education Program Specialist

Department:

The Education Program Specialist will oversee the process of course review for three or more curricular subgroups within Curriculum and Assessment Services, including pre-screening proposals, consulting with university partners on curricular policy, and crafting communications to academic units in the college and across the university. They will collaborate with the Arts and Sciences Curriculum and Assessment Program Manager and Assistant Dean for Curriculum to coordinate curricular review and assessment.

They will research, collect, analyze, report and present data pertaining to curriculum within the college and within the General Education program. Develop, maintain, assess and administer, in conjunction with the Program Manager, training for staff partners in academic units. Maintain public facing and internal curricular records for the College of Arts and Sciences, coordinate end-to-end management of special projects; provide administrative support to Program Manager and Assistant Dean.

Manage web content for the Arts and Sciences Curriculum and Assessment Services.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in an Arts and Sciences field, Public Affairs or Education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of relevant experience in higher education curriculum development, review, and/or assessment and knowledge of program planning and coordination and/or advising in an academic environment. High proficiency of written and oral communication skills and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Desired:

Completion of some post-baccalaureate coursework in an Arts and Sciences field, Public Affairs, Education or related fields. Knowledge of university academic rules and regulations is desired. Experience working in an academic environment and understanding of SIS, course scheduling, and university policies and procedures.

The pay range for this job profile is $22.93 - $29.95. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
