Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively seeking a CAD Drafter for a client in the construction industry. This role is based in the Charlotte, NC area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed 2D and 3D structural drawings using CAD software for various construction and engineering projects. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and architects to develop design solutions and ensure all structural components are represented accurately.
Responsibilities- Create detailed structural drawings and plans for building projects, including foundations, beams, columns, trusses, and other structural elements.
- Work closely with structural engineers to translate sketches and conceptual designs into precise CAD drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, local building codes, and project specifications.
- Revise and update drawings as necessary based on client or project manager feedback.
- Assist in the development and review of design documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Maintain and organize CAD files, ensuring all versions are properly documented.
- Conduct site visits, if required, to gather measurements or verify drawing accuracy.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with project timelines.
- Education:
Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, or related field. - Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in structural drafting/design using CAD software. - Software Proficiency:
Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, or other related CAD software. - Familiarity with structural design principles, building materials, and construction methods.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Experience in working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 per year.
