About the Role
Carlson Design Group is actively seeking an experienced and registered Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead projects for our expanding business. The focus is on mission‑critical, light industrial, financial services, and commercial projects.
LocationWork from any of our enterprise office locations in Peachtree Corners, GA;
Detroit, MI;
Charlotte, NC; or Tampa, FL.

- Plan and develop medium to large‑scope unique projects with many complexities that significantly impact major company programs.
- Execute projects and coordinate a large staff of engineers, designers, and associates.
- Serve as the licensed professional and Engineer of Record.
- Provide technical design support, prepare schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications in compliance with program and building design directions.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration and ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience, including low and medium voltage design.
- Experience leading and executing projects independently from handoff.
- Competency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Preferred Experience
- Mission‑critical or industrial engineering experience.
- Preparation of Arc Flash and Breaker Coordination analysis.
- Ability to solve problems and innovate.
