Engineering Summer Worker
Location: Murphy, NC
Employment Type: Contract (3 months)
Industry: Aerospace and Defense
Compensation: $22.50 /hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week – 1st shift
Responsibilities- Perform engineering and related tasks across departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, QA Engineering, Engineering Lab, and Drafting and Design.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects and lean events.
- Research tooling and machinery.
- Produce work instructions, data cards, and routings.
- Conduct engineering testing and QA inspection.
- Collect and maintain data (SPC/ETQ database management and maintenance).
- Carry out engineering lab work.
- Manage configuration.
- Create CAD models.
- Program and write tooling requests.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related technical environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good typing and keyboarding skills.
- Subject to a background check upon offer of employment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
