We are hiring for one of the largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products used in concrete construction applications in the United States. The company manufactures and markets key products such as prestressed concrete strand (PC strand) and welded wire reinforcement (WWR), including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement, and standard welded wire products. They primarily serve manufacturers of concrete products and support infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction projects, with a significant portion of its business tied to nonresidential construction.
With a network of strategically located manufacturing facilities across the U.S. Focuses on operational efficiency, cost leadership, and reliable customer service while converting steel wire rod into high-quality reinforcing solutions.
The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, installation, optimization, and maintenance of electrical systems within production environments. This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
LocationOpen to the candidates being local to any of their plants located in FL, TX, KY, MO, and NC. (relocation assistance may be available for a highly qualified candidate who meets all role requirements)
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or plant engineering preferred.
- Certifications in PLCs, industrial safety, or maintenance reliability will be very beneficial.
- Design, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems supporting manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Provide support for automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and robotic systems.
- Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and drive long‑term corrective solutions.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to enhance equipment uptime, performance, and reliability.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and process improvements.
- Ensure all systems meet electrical codes, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Evaluate production data to identify and implement efficiency and performance improvements.
- Oversee inventory of electrical components and assist with sourcing and procurement activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including mechanical engineering, quality, and operations, on manufacturing initiatives.
- Engineer that will be required to travel at least 60% of the time to other plants.
- Experience with hands‑on technical resource supporting projects, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
$80,000 - $110,000, + up to 20% bonus based on company performance. (average around 15% the past few years.)
