The Role
We are seeking a Product Developer to transform product concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable products. This role supports the entire product development lifecycle, including concept development, 3D CAD modeling, DFMEA, prototyping, design refinement, testing, and manufacturing implementation.
The ideal candidate possesses strong product level problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to create and modify 3D CAD models. They are curious, hands‑on, and capable of working cross functionally with Product Management, Industrial Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and product documentation
- Develop product concepts and design solutions that meet customer, business, and manufacturing requirements
- Apply basic mechanical engineering principles to solve product performance, durability, and usability challenges
- Support prototype development, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), product testing, validation, sample reviews, and design iterations
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and cost
- Prepare and maintain product specifications, BOM support, tolerance notes, revision updates, and ECO documentation
- Collaborate with R&D to maintain design intent while improving production feasibility
- Work with manufacturing partners to review tooling feedback, production issues, materials, assembly methods, and cost improvements
- Participate in Design Reviews and provide technical recommendations for product improvements
- Assist with material selection, tolerance analysis, assembly methods, and product specifications
- Investigate product issues, identify root causes, and assist with implementing solutions.
- Other related tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related technical field
- 2-3 years of experience in product development, product design, industrial design, or mechanical design
- Proficiency with 3D CAD and design software (e.g., Solid Works and or Onshape)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply basic engineering concepts
- Basic understanding of product development and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Experience developing consumer products (home goods, lifestyle, electronics, or similar)
- Understanding Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, DFMEA, ECO’s, Bill of Materials, and product launch support
- Familiarity with prototype fabrication (3D printing), injection molding, and product testing
- Experience working with local and external manufacturing partners and vendors
