Site Overview
Lilly is operating a new state‑of‑the‑art Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility located at the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage staffing, training, and leadership of the Engineering Technician team supporting process development, commissioning, qualification, validation, continuous improvement, issue resolution, and operation of the Parenteral area and other engineering and automation systems.
- Partner with other leaders to influence and implement the organization’s functional agenda, business plan priorities, and quality plan objectives for the site.
- Develop employees as necessary to meet business requirements.
- Provide technical input and support to Formulation, Filling, Inspection, and Equipment Prep work streams.
- Develop, mentor, coach, and recognize employees within the organization.
- Develop and implement business plan objectives.
- Track team performance in carrying out and completing objectives.
- Staff the team with personnel capable of meeting business needs and objectives.
- Build and drive safety and quality culture within the organization.
- Remove barriers that impact team performance.
- Develop local processes and procedures in accordance with the FUME system.
- Ensure an adequate number of qualified resources are trained and qualified to support Parenteral Operations on the floor.
- Provide technical support in terms of SOP approvals, verification and design document reviews and approvals, and on‑field support as required.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained in a qualified state for reliable supply of medicine.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement projects or troubleshooting initiatives within the Parenteral organization.
- Become an SME for Parenteral Engineering and Automation systems and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; this position does not support or sponsor work authorization or visas (e.g., F‑1 CPT, F‑1 OPT, H‑1B, TN, etc.).
- Previous People Leadership experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements of agencies such as FDA, EMEA, DEKRA, and OSHA.
- Previous experience with highly automated equipment.
- Previous equipment qualification and process validation experience.
- Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
- Previous experience with Quality Management Systems such as Veeva or Kneat.
- Work 8‑hour days – Monday through Friday.
- Flex schedule periodically to meet with reports supporting a rotating 24/7 2‑2‑3 schedule.

The anticipated wage for this position is $99,000 – $145,200.
Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
