Key Responsibilities Process Optimization & Manufacturing Support- Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts related to process performance, automation, controls, and equipment reliability.
- Support manufacturing operations by identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor production data and identify opportunities for waste reduction, process stabilization, and cost savings.
- Support and improve automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, instrumentation, and process controls.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Assist with commissioning, validation, and startup activities for new equipment and process improvements.
- Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives using Lean methodologies, PDCA, 5 Why analysis, Fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Drive projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
- Standardize successful improvements through documentation and training.
- Support capital equipment and facility improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Participate in scope development, vendor selection, installation planning, commissioning, and project handoff.
- Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, technical documentation, and process standards.
- Create training materials and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing processes and process‑related equipment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance teams to improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Analyze downtime trends and reliability data to identify chronic losses and improvement opportunities.
- Provide technical leadership during equipment breakdowns and critical troubleshooting events.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–7 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, and production systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, controls systems, and industrial automation.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing or cleanroom environments.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward certification.
