Process Engineer

This position plays a critical role in designing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, automation systems, and production equipment. • Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead technical troubleshooting efforts related to process performance, automation, controls, and equipment reliability.
• Support manufacturing operations by identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor production data and identify opportunities for waste reduction, process stabilization, and cost savings.

• Support and improve automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, instrumentation, and process controls.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Assist with commissioning, validation, and startup activities for new equipment and process improvements.
• Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives using Lean methodologies, PDCA, 5 Why analysis, Fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Drive projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
• Standardize successful improvements through documentation and training.

• Support capital equipment and facility improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Participate in scope development, vendor selection, installation planning, commissioning, and project handoff.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, technical documentation, and process standards.
• Create training materials and support knowledge transfer initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing processes and process‑related equipment.

• Collaborate with Maintenance teams to improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Analyze downtime trends and reliability data to identify chronic losses and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership during equipment breakdowns and critical troubleshooting events.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, and production systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, controls systems, and industrial automation.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing or cleanroom environments.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward certification.
