The company is looking for an Electrical Engineer III to join its Raleigh, NC office on a hybrid basis, taking ownership of complex assignments, mentoring junior engineers, and representing the firm to clients. The role offers senior-level responsibility from day one, with opportunities for professional growth within a stable, long-established business.
Responsibilities:- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to team members
- Lead discipline-specific design for medium to large projects with limited Revit use
- Review and direct complex designs, calculations, and simulations
- Review complex submittals and shop drawings
- Respond to complex RFIs
- Conduct targeted site visits to resolve critical issues
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Participate in project meetings, offering high-level technical input
- Ensure project delivery meets schedule and budget targets
- Support workplan development and adjust for scope/schedule changes
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or Communications Engineering
- 6+ years of progressive AEC industry experience
- Relevant professional licensure/certification preferred (PE, CPD, FPE, RCDD, etc.), or 15+ years' experience in lieu of license
- Expertise across multiple engineering software platforms
- Advanced understanding of codes, standards, and QA/QC processes
- Proven ability to mentor and lead junior engineers
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills
