Sr. Equipment Engineer

Skill Set Group  is seeking an exeprienced Equipment & Process Engineer to work in the central North Carolina area. This position will be overseeing all equipment & processing line upgrades and installations for nutriceutical/pharmaceutical manufacturing. The chosen candidate must have strong Cap Ex project management, handling all aspects of automated line design & commissioning. High-level GMP experience in the industry is also a must.

This will be a first shift and DIRECT HIRE position.

• Hours are flexible, mainly 6-7AM start.

• 5+ years managing full-scope Cap Ex projects for upgrades, commissioning new lines and automated equipment.
• Working knowledge of food/nutraceutical materials/processes/equipment
• 5 years Equipment and/or Processing Engineering or related Engineering manufacturing environment.
• 3 years' experience in a cGMP or other regulatory environments:
  Food/Dietary/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical or kindred product industries
• Knowledge of materials/process/equipment/plant automation systems/product quality measuring systems (Xray, Metal Detection, Checkweighing, Lasers)
• Knowledge of packaging materials and their interaction with equipment efficiencies.
• Mechanical proficiency, understanding equipment and operation functionality to establish/challenge/optimize run rates/productivity
• Bachelor's Degree in Food, Bioprocess, Agricultural, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or another Engineering discipline is a MUST.
