We believe that sports play a powerful, community-building role in society and we work to amplify the social experience around game day.

The Assistant Operations Manager
’s main responsibilities include recruiting local staff, hiring qualified individuals, training them based on our company standards, and managing both them and event operations on the venue on event days. Your focus will be to support all event logistics by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring every event has proper materials (maps, cheat sheets, headsets, radios), and entering payroll using our ABI Master Mind software.

With direction from the Operations Manager, you will play a leadership support role at all large-scale events and venue breakout training. You will be tasked with on-site event management leadership for Olympic Sports/Smaller events that are 50 or fewer employees. This role involves night and weekend work and may involve some travel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to all staff at your account, both in the office and at events.
  • Communicate regularly with your Operations Manager and Regional Operations Manager to provide updates on account operations.
  • Build, maintain, and nourish constructive relationships with clients; give and receive feedback professionally.
  • Lead small‑scale staff training on company and client venue standards (new hire orientation, venue breakouts, emergency management, customer service, positive team environment, staff job duties).
  • Create events, schedule staff, and enter payroll using ABI Master Mind. If you led an event, you will also create the invoice.
  • Ensure compliance with all company administrative policies and procedures.
  • Manage your account’s event recruitment, training, staff schedules, and client communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; if not, equivalent educational experience through work as determined by REVELxp Staffing Division Upper Management. 1–2 years of large‑scale sports & event management experience, collegiate/professional football experience, or emergency management preferred.
  • Proven leadership and effective communication experience managing large groups in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Lead by example professionally and personally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; speaking in front of large groups and conducting training required.
  • Computer literate; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Respond positively and productively to change.
  • Strong customer‑service focus and teamwork.
  • High organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Direct supervision by the account‑specific Operations Manager.
  • Some independence in day‑to‑day duties; longer hours during large events and training sessions.
  • Often required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Must move quickly and energetically.
  • Long periods of standing and constant movement around the event venue on event days.
  • Long periods of sitting while on the phone and computer on office days.

We are an equal‑opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
