Position Summary

The Controller serves as a strategic finance leader responsible for overseeing the company’s global accounting and financial reporting functions. Partners with leadership to support and drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term business strategy. This role ensures integrity in financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, and provides forward‑looking insights to support decision‑making across our global footprint. A Controller plays a critical role in scaling and leveraging finance operations, supporting growth initiatives, and aligning financial practices with company goals and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights, modeling, and recommendations that support strategic decision‑making
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of financial processes to support scalability and operational efficiency
  • Provide visibility into business performance, risks, and opportunities across global operations
Financial Reporting & Governance
  • Responsible for timely preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with full data integrity and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor and adapt accounting practices in response to regulatory, tax, and business changes
  • Responsible for indirect and direct tax compliance globally and locally
Global Accounting Operations
  • Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, billing, close processes, and financial reporting
  • Manage international accounting activities, including multi‑currency transactions and cross‑border considerations
  • Oversee coordination of audits and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements in billing, receivables and payable processes
Financial Planning & Performance Management
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial results and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness
Team Leadership & Accountabilities
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial data and reporting
  • Perform relevant analysis on financial results – identifying trends, costs, and budgets
  • Create procedures to ensure the close and reporting process is efficient, timely, and accurate
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting facets or issues
  • Drive accountability, collaboration, and high performance across the accounting function
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders with clear, data‑driven insights
  • Maintain a strong control environment and uphold governance standards, always respecting company ethics and confidentiality
  • Lead by example, mentor and develop Accounting team
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans
  • Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, global business environment
Qualifications Education, Technical Skills, Knowledge, & Experience
  • Requires Degree - Bachelor of Accounting or related field of study
  • CPA preferred;
    Master’s a plus
  • 10 + years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with 5 years of experience at a demonstrated managerial capacity
  • Experience with in international financial and operational environment
  • Knowledge & expertise in GAAP and working knowledge of IFRS
  • Global experience - managing multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment
  • Strong systems proficiency (e.g., Dynamics GP, Net Suite or similar ERP) & advanced Excel skills. Experience with BI tools
  • Experience with staged ERP system implementation
