• Minimum Degree Level: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. CPA licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure required. Must be eligible to serve as a School Finance Officer in accordance with North Carolina State Board of Education Policy FINO-000.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  Minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance and budget preparation, administration, or monitoring within a North Carolina local education agency or a comparable finance/accounting environment, supplemented by at least three (3) years of experience reconciling accounting, payroll, purchasing, and other financial records in either the public or private sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered where permitted.
