Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a PE-backed physician practice management (PPM) group to appoint a newly created VP of Financial Planning & Analytics. This role will combine leadership of the core FP&A function with the development of the organization’s business intelligence capabilities.
As the business continues to scale and integrate advanced AI solutions, this position will play a critical role in driving financial planning, forecasting, and profitability across the organization. The successful candidate will translate complex operational and commercial data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making, enhance performance, and enable sustainable long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Own and lead the annual budgeting process along with long‑term financial planning, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain robust, driver‑based financial models incorporating key operational metrics such as service volumes, productivity, automation impact, and revenue cycle performance.
- Deliver scenario analysis to support business expansion, innovation initiatives, and new technology deployment, including AI‑driven solutions.
- Partner closely with operational and product leadership teams to improve cost efficiency and drive margin enhancement initiatives.
- Support the shift towards more technology‑enabled delivery models by analyzing financial impact and identifying optimization opportunities.
- Design and track key performance metrics, including profitability, EBITDA, revenue cycle efficiency, and acquisition costs, to monitor overall business health.
- Support evaluation and execution of strategic investments, including mergers and acquisitions, across domestic and international markets.
- Lead financial analysis for major capital projects, including ROI, payback, and long‑term value creation, particularly for technology and platform investments.
- Contribute to capital allocation decisions, ensuring resources are directed toward high‑impact growth initiatives.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant time operating in senior leadership roles.
- Sector Expertise: Strong background in healthcare services, revenue cycle management, or health‑tech environments.
- Corporate Development: Demonstrated experience supporting or leading financial due diligence, integration, and scaling activities in multi‑site, multi‑state entities.
- Technical Capability: Advanced skills in financial planning, modelling, and analytics tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive, Net Suite Planning, or Power BI.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline required; MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
