Our client, a leader in their industry with operations in central NC, has an immediate opening for a Controller. Reporting to the President, the Controller is responsible for the following:

- Manages the finance function and oversees the accounting team of one.
- Performs budgeting, audits, tax, accounting, and administrative functions for the organization.
- Responsible for the maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
- Prepares monthly consolidated Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheets for international parent company.
- Provides timely production of statutory and internal financial reports.
- Provides financial analysis reports, as needed.
- Responsible for cash management and performs treasury-related duties.
- Ensures appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
- Prepares documents as required by CPA.
- Manages and analyses the physical inventory processes and reports.
- Consults with Human Resources on benefits, 401(k), other benefit matters, etc.
- Works closely with Production, Sales and Purchasing related to inventory and pricing.
- Manages one direct report according to company employment policies, procedures and programs.
- Monitors staff performance, including performance reviews, career planning, discipline, etc., as well as delegates work duties and responsibilities.
- 3 or more years experience in accounting/finance with 2 years experience in leadership.
- Experience and knowledge of US GAAP, ERP system (Enterprise 21) experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret federal business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
- Expert experience level operating computer and office equipment including an excellent working knowledge Excel and Microsoft Office products.
