The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) oversees the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, strategic analysis, and overall performance management. This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering insights that guide operational performance, expansion efforts, acquisitions, and long‑term strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep experience within oral surgery, dental support organizations (DSOs), multi‑location healthcare groups, or similar healthcare services environments.
Key Responsibilities- Direct all budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning processes.
- Design and manage advanced financial models and agentic AI tools to support investment decisions, growth strategies, and key initiatives.
- Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the board.
- Track and evaluate key performance metrics across clinical, operational, and financial areas.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to enhance profitability, efficiency, and financial outcomes across multiple sites.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and new site expansions by conducting financial due diligence and monitoring post‑deal performance.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including detailed variance analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Work closely with Revenue Cycle, Accounting, HR, and Clinical teams to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
- Lead the creation of executive dashboards and reporting packages for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing FP&A team.
- Hands‑on experience with agentic AI tools, financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including senior FP&A leadership roles.
- Background in oral surgery, dental organizations, physician practice management, ambulatory care, or healthcare services is required.
- Proven experience supporting multi‑site healthcare operations.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, modeling, forecasting, and business intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating acquisitions, integrations, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Experience working with oral and maxillofacial surgery groups, dental specialty practices, or healthcare service organizations.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement structures, provider compensation models, and revenue cycle operations.
- Prior experience in private equity‑backed healthcare companies is a plus.
