Junior Helpdesk Technician

Preferred Data Corporation is seeking a Junior Helpdesk Technician to provide entry‑level technical support to users and assist with software, hardware, and network‑related issues.

• Provide first‑line technical support to users via phone, email, or in‑person for software, hardware, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common IT problems, such as login issues or software errors, with guidance from senior staff.
• Assist with setting up workstations, installing software, and configuring basic network settings.
• Document support tickets and resolutions accurately in the helpdesk system.
• Collaborate with the IT team on projects to support company technology needs.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and industry standards in all support activities.

• Associate’s degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS, common software (e.g., Microsoft Office), and basic networking concepts.
• Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for user support.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional on‑site support.
• CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals, or similar certifications are preferred but not required.
