Sr. Manager, Data Governance

* 10+ years of experience in data, platform, governance, or related domains, with 5+ years leading technical teams.
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
* Strong understanding of data governance domains including metadata, classification, lineage, access controls, data quality, and stewardship.
* Experience scaling governance programs across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
* Technical fluency in modern data architectures and automation practices, with the ability to guide engineers building scalable ETL/ELT workflows.
* Experience collaborating with senior leaders across engineering, privacy, security, legal, and business teams.
* Experience translating strategy into measurable execution with clear KPIs.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations.
* Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., CPRA, GDPR, HIPAA).
* Familiarity with governance and classification tooling (e.g., Dataplex, BigID, DLP, Collate)
* Prior background in data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics, before moving into leadership
* Experience defining governance KPIs, maturity models, and audit processes.
