Role Overview
This is a long-term contract position for an IT Consultant 1 / Mule Soft Integration Developer (805360) supporting the State of Ohio. The role offers remote or hybrid flexibility, with a mandatory onsite requirement every Wednesday in Columbus, OH.
Work Arrangement- Location: Columbus, OH (Remote or Hybrid).
- Hybrid Requirement: Mandatory onsite presence every Wednesday at 35 East Chestnut Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Flexibility: Flexible hours required. Occasional evening and weekend work for production support, remediation, or emergencies (performed remotely).
- Design, develop, deploy, and support Mule Soft integration solutions using Mule ESB and Anypoint Platform.
- Implement API-led connectivity using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, JMS, and event-driven patterns.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable integration services.
- Develop data transformations, validations, and business logic.
- Support modernization and migration of legacy integrations.
- Collaborate with architects, BAs, and infrastructure teams to design enterprise solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews and define API governance and standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership and mentoring.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Configure and support Mule Soft applications in Cloud Hub and hybrid environments.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Maven).
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Implement secure practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, encryption).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
- Implement exception handling, logging, and monitoring frameworks.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident response.
- Develop unit tests using MUnit.
- Perform data analysis and source-to-target mapping.
- Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Certifications: Mule Soft Certified Developer certification is required. Mule Soft Architect-level certifications and Salesforce certifications are highly desirable.
