Business Analyst - Education

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives focused on student success, enrollment management, and institutional technology solutions within a higher education environment. This individual will partner with functional and technical teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, improve processes, and help deliver technology solutions that enhance the student experience. The ideal candidate has experience working with student-facing systems and processes and can effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (

• Experience working as a Business Analyst within a higher education environment
• Strong understanding of student-focused processes and systems, including areas such as:
• Admissions
• Student Success Services
• Student Records
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
• Proven ability to analyze, document, and improve business processes
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to Ellucian Banner or a comparable Student Information System (SIS)

• Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or ECBA
• Experience working with Service Now or similar workflow management platforms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Visio, and Power Point
• Experience utilizing collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), quality assurance efforts, and solution validation activities

• Partner with enrollment, student success, and administrative teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Support initiatives involving ERP systems, student information systems, digital workflows, and engagement platforms
• Analyze current-state business processes and help design future-state solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technical teams and ensure alignment throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and project teams to support successful implementation of technology solutions
• Assist with project planning activities, including prioritization, timeline management, and resource coordination
• Support testing efforts by developing test scenarios, validating delivered functionality, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance student services and operational effectiveness
