As a Senior Global Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products are supported by a resilient, high-performing supply base.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary liaison between Asia-based suppliers and Mexico manufacturing operations, aligning sourcing strategies around cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for components and raw materials that support operational excellence and long-term business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while proactively managing supply chain risks and market changes.
- Manage supplier performance reviews using KPIs and scorecards to drive improvements in quality, delivery, service, and total cost of ownership.
- Partner with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and SIOP teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and strategic growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering projects, and process improvements.
- Monitor global market trends, commodity movements, and supply chain developments to anticipate risks and maintain continuity of supply.
- Support inventory optimization and service-level goals through collaboration with Purchasing and SIOP teams.
- Travel domestically and internationally to strengthen supplier relationships, support sourcing initiatives, and drive project success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience.
- Experience developing and managing supplier relationships in a global sourcing environment.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in manufacturing, furniture, consumer products, or durable goods industries.
- Knowledge of supplier performance management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP, planning, and supply chain management systems.
- Experience leading cost-reduction, value engineering, or supplier development initiatives.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop sourcing strategies that improve business performance.
- Make a direct impact on global sourcing strategy and business performance.
- Collaborate with teams across North America and Asia.
- Build relationships with world-class suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Lead initiatives that improve cost, quality, innovation, and supply chain resilience.
