Savvy Solutions is recruiting for a globally recognized industry leader seeking an experienced Manager, Global Sourcing – North America Chemicals.

As the Manager, Global Sourcing – North America Chemicals, you will:

• Lead the development and execution of the North American Chemicals sourcing strategy
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and serve as the primary interface with key suppliers
• Lead contract, pricing, and commercial negotiations
• Drive cost savings, total-cost optimization, supply continuity, and risk mitigation
• Monitor commodity pricing, market conditions, technology changes, and supply-base trends
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance improvement initiatives
• Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals
• Build total-cost models and identify opportunities for alternative sourcing
• Partner with Engineering, Product Development, Advanced Technology, Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, and Marketing
• Support new product development, material innovation, and product improvement initiatives
• Help establish strategies around inventory, lead times, capacity, quality, and supply-chain efficiency
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and events to gather market intelligence
• Work directly with senior-level supplier executives and internal leadership

The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic sourcing expertise, strong commercial instincts, technical understanding of chemicals/polyurethanes, and proven leadership ability.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in the polyurethane and/or petrochemical industry
• 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, engineering, or supply-chain experience
• 10+ years of category and/or supplier relationship management experience
• 3+ years of experience managing professional-level employees
• Strong contract and supplier negotiation experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and project management skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
