A leading flexible packaging manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead operations at its Greensboro facility. This role reports to the General Manager and oversees all manufacturing activities, including Production, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Quality, and Shipping & Receiving, with responsibility for approximately 100 associates and 6 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Motivate and develop supervisors and managers; foster an engaging work environment; attract and retain talent.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health, food safety, and environmental regulations; enforce GMP standards.
- Operations Management: Optimize production, minimize downtime through preventive/corrective maintenance, and analyze real-time data to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Drive BRC compliance, lead CI projects, and reduce non-conformities.
- Resource & Cost Management: Manage budgets and optimize material, human, and financial resources.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in manufacturing, including 3+ years in management
- Flexible packaging experience required
- Technical knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
