Call Time Manager/Finance Director Job Description
About Wake Dems
The Wake County Democratic Party (WCDP) is a grassroots volunteer-driven organization focused on electing Democrats, organizing voters, and building organizing power in the largest county in one of the most important swing states in the country.
Responsibilities
- Organize and execute a brand-new call time program, including prospecting and donor research, scheduling and staffing the Executive Director, the Chair, and other principals, and managing follow-up and pledge chase.
- Develop and design fundraising materials based on strategic direction from the Chair, Executive Director, and other party leadership, including copywriting, prospectuses, pitch decks, and other materials needed for a successful fundraising program.
- Support the Impact Circle volunteer leadership team, our major donor recurring contribution program, including through event logistical support, prospecting, pledge chase and reactivation, and recruiting new volunteer leaders.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive tiered donor and volunteer acknowledgement process.
- Manage reporting out to funders and partners, including periodic metrics reports and regular program overviews.
- Plan and organize a robust schedule of fundraising events, ranging from small-dollar house parties to national travel, including by developing and supporting hosts and prospecting party connections for national and virtual events.
- Assist the Executive Director and Treasurer in executing compliance, budgeting, and cash flow tracking tasks.
- Participate in professional development activities, including cross-department work and external training.
- Independently conceive and develop additions to the fundraising program.
Experience and Qualifications
- For a Call Time Manager: 0-2 cycles of campaign experience, with a demonstrated interest in Democratic electoral work.
- For a Finance Director: 2+ cycles of campaign experience, with at least one cycle in a full-time fundraising role.
- A very high degree of conscientiousness.
- Experience managing up and willingness to push and disagree with superiors when necessary.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Experience using common campaign and fundraising CRM tools including NGP and Vote builder and call time tools like Numero.
- Willingness to relocate to Wake County, North Carolina.
Compensation
The anticipated monthly salary range for a Call Time Manager is $4,500 - $5,000; the anticipated monthly salary range for a Finance Director is $5,500 - $6,000. Employee benefits include 15 days of paid vacation, 15 paid holidays, 15 days of paid personal leave, and a monthly employer health insurance contribution of up to $425. This position is termed through November 2026, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on specific fundraising outcomes and other job performance metrics.
