Job Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct supervision to direct care staff responsible for the safety and security of pre- and post-adjudicated delinquents, status offenders and juveniles bound over to Superior Court; as well as provide direct supervision to aforementioned juveniles. Personnel responsibilities include assisting in the hiring of staff, the training and orientation of new employees, the assignment of work, performance management, and ensuring staff meet and maintain certification requirements and comply with policies and procedures.

Work is subject to close personal and physical contact with juveniles and decisions that are made impact the protection of state property, the physical safety of the juveniles, staff and the employee.

Must have a valid driver's license upon hire Knowledge

Skills and Abilities

/Management Preferences
  • Knowledge of institutional programming techniques for delinquent juveniles.
  • Knowledge of various treatment and rehabilitative modalities.
  • Experience working with juveniles.
  • Experience with establishing rapport with a variety of treatment professionals

Salary Range: $43,267-$75,718
