About UsThe NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. Description of Work This position is classified as a Correction Enterprise Supervisor II and is located at the Mt. View Sewing Plant in Spruce Pine, NC. It reports directly to the Correction Enterprise Manager I. The role is responsible for supervising 65 to 85 offenders and overseeing all aspects of safety, quality, production, and inventory. Mt. View Sewing is a production‑based operation, requiring consistent adherence to established production schedules.

The plant is located inside the Mt. View Correctional Facility, so regular communication and coordination with facility staff, and offenders, is essential.

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Experience with hands-on sewing equipment & tools. (ex. Machines press snips, etc.)Experience in a production manufacturing environment.

Experience order and receiving merchandise

Supervisory experience with skilled & unskilled workers.

Necessary Special Qualifications Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.  for specific certification requirements.
