Helper - STRU

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift. This role encompasses a wide variety of skills depending on the department where you are placed. For example, you may assist other employees with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing/pipe fitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work.

* Schedule:

** 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

** Responsibilities:
*** Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipe fitters, Electricians, etc.)
* Handle material
* Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)
* Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies
* Work in a fast-paced team environment
** Education Requirements/

Qualifications:

*** Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
* Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
** Job Requirements/Special

Skills:

*** Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
* Ability to read a tape measure required
* Ability to read blueprints preferred
* Ability to work independently and on a team
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
* Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
