Fabric & Leather Upholstery Sewer (Archdale, N.C) Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 3 or more years of experience in sewing for fine custom furniture pieces (fabric and leather)
• Demonstrated ability to DOUBLE-NEEDLE sew in an upholstery manufacturing environment
• Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions
• Understanding of fabric layout-COM, Center Cut, flow match, plain/leather covers
• Properly sew flow and center matched covers
• Must know how to thread sewing machine & change needle safely
• Ability to work at a productive pace with no errors
• Know how to make a corner
• Knowledge of an inch seam
• Utilize tools such as sewing machine, scissors etc.
