CNC​/PLC Programmer Manufacturing

This position is accountable for programming CNC and PLC equipment to support operations day-to-day activity, as well as program equipment for new programs and in sourcing new products. The successful candidate will oversee a machining cell, various PLC controlled automated and testing cells, and maintain work instructions and standard work.

• Developing CNC programs for machining cell, including laiths and mills, and PLC programs for testing and automated cells.
• Developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies.
• Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
• Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
• Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
• Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
• Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
• Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.
• Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times.
• Leads Kaizen teams
• Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives.

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Highly energetic and success driven team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive and make presentations. Effectively interact with technicians and among other departments and suppliers.
• Technical knowledge / understanding of the commercial HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously.
• Ability to persist and succeed with cross-cultural communication on technical issues.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
• Passionate about eliminating problems before they occur or after only one occurrence.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working as a manufacturing engineer or programmer.
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/operations environment.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of AlphaCAM
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a highly dynamic team and fast-paced environment with continuous challenges.
• Experience with change management processes.
