Directs, coordinates, and manages production activities on the 1st shift in a food manufacturing environment.

• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Supervisor team members.
• Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
• Hire, train, and evaluate production personnel.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
• Monitor production tracking and quality control systems.
• Review operations and confer with administrative staff to resolve procedural problems.
• Provide leadership to meet company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality due to the nature of production operations.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to food safety standards and GMPs.
• Verify sanitation and hygiene protocols are followed by all production personnel.
• Report and escalate any food safety concerns or deviations promptly to Plant Manager and Quality Assurance.
• Support food safety audits and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Train and coach team members on food safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

• Education and Experience
  : 5-10 years of manufacturing experience in the food industry is required. High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

  Basic PC skills; proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  :
  • Environment may be wet or dry with temperatures from 25°F to 110°F.
  • Lifting/kneeling/bending with packages exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling may be required.
