Machine Operator
Location:
Burlington, NC
Shift: 2nd Mon-Fri 3PM-11PM
Pay: $15 Depending on experience
Job Summary:The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining textile production machinery to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and workplace safety are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate textile machinery such as looms, knitting, weaving, dyeing, or finishing machines
- Set up machines according to production specifications and work orders
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality
- Inspect finished fabric for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment
- Accurately document production counts, downtime, and material usage
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
- Identify and report mechanical issues or quality concerns promptly
- Previous machine operating experience preferred (textile experience a plus)
- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends
