Mold Technician B - Shift

Job Overview

BD is seeking an experienced injection molding operator to oversee the performance of injection molding, auxiliary, assembly, and packaging equipment in our Columbus, Ohio manufacturing facility. The role supports the production of Med Tech products in line with BD’s quality and safety standards.

• Operate and monitor injection molding machines and related equipment in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.
• Record machine processes and visually inspect products; prepare items for release.
• Ensure adherence to BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and all regulatory regulations.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance; conduct changeovers with first‑piece approvals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of press activity and perform housekeeping to keep a safe work environment.
• Support other duties as required to meet business needs.

• Consistent, high‑quality molding output achieved through proper setup, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3‑5 years of technical manufacturing experience, preferably molding or scientific molding techniques.
• Proficient in mechanical tasks and basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
• Strong mechanical competence and working familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Willing and able to uphold BD values.
• Reliable attendance.
