2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Must be available to work 2 weekends per month

Overview

Axalta is seeking experienced Chemical Mixers to support manufacturing operations at its High Point, NC facility. This role is responsible for blending batches, operating production equipment, loading materials, filling finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Candidates must have previous chemical mixing or paint manufacturing experience. Warehouse experience alone is not sufficient.
Job Description

Blend batches according to designated formulas.
Load raw materials and pre-mix production batches.
Fill finished products into shipping containers.
Record batch adjustments and production documentation.
Follow filtering, labeling, and container requirements.
Operate production equipment including:
- High-speed disperse rs
- Air mixers
- Filler machines
- Labelers
- Air pumps
- Weight scales
Perform product sampling and testing.
Operate RC Gun equipment.
Load and unload bulk tank wagons.
Operate powered material handling equipment (forklifts/PMHE).
Maintain clean work areas and control waste generation.
Follow all safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
Assist with additional production duties as needed.

Required Skills

Chemical mixing or paint manufacturing experience required
5+ years of chemical plant or paint manufacturing experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills
Strong math skills, including measuring gallons, pints, ounces, and weight fractions
Ability to accurately follow batch formulas and written instructions
Experience operating production equipment
Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work at heights of 30 feet or more
Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Willingness to work overtime, rotating schedules, and weekends as needed
