We are looking for an experienced Inside Upholsterer to join our upholstery manufacturing team in Archdale, North Carolina
.

What You'll DoAs an Inside Upholsterer, you will build the inside of upholstered furniture, including seats, inside backs, and arms. You will use your upholstery skills to make sure each piece has the proper shape, comfort, fit, and finish before moving to the next stage of production.
Your Work Will Include- Upholstering the inside of fine custom furniture using fabric and leather
- Reading production tickets and following special instructions
- Applying cotton, rubber, and other materials to build the proper shape and comfort
- Stretching and applying fabric or leather smoothly and correctly
- Creating short, uniform pleats
- Using standard upholstery tools such as staple guns, scissors, regulators, button needles, staple pullers, pliers, and tape measures
- Checking your work to make sure the piece meets quality expectations
- Completing work according to the production schedule
- Scanning completed pieces into the production process after approval
- Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
- 3+ years of experience in inside upholstery for custom or high-quality furniture preferred
- Experience working with fabric and leather
- Ability to read production tickets and follow detailed instructions
- Experience using common upholstery tools and equipment
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to produce consistent quality throughout the workday
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Hand-tufting or machine-tufting experience is a plus
