As we continue to grow, we are expanding our production footprint at our corporate headquarters and are seeking a highly experienced plant manager for our expanding healthcare and medical device business sector. Therefore, in this position we are seeking a Plant Manager that has specific knowledge of injection molding for medical devices and brings a range of knowledge from validation & verification for medical molding, IQ/OQ/PQ, experience with ISO 13485 compliance and clean room knowledge to this opportunity.

Desired Experience:

  • 5-10+ yrs managing manufacturing facilities with 3-5+ yrs specific to medical device/healthcare
  • Solid P&L experience and accountable for financial performance of the plant
  • Experience working across regulatory authorities, auditors, etc. to maintain ISO 13485 compliance
  • Solid experience with validation and verification including knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Capable leader who can map out a clear direction for operations while prioritizing and organizing production and communicating these goals effectively to their employees

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and monitor plant performance by creating goals and reviewing tracking metrics.
  • Ensure company systems (ISO, QS, UL, NSF, policies) are in place, followed, & properly maintained.
  • Develop and communicate plans to reduce scrap, improve efficiencies and improve utilization.
  • Thoroughly review and investigate all accidents, including completion of RC/CA.
  • Responsible for leading & participating in continuous improvement activities & track financial results.
  • Understand all products and quality specifications of active products.
  • Require STOP observations be completed by all direct reports as required, review all STOP information and work to reduce/eliminate hazards and improve safety incident rates.
  • Review yield report and correct necessary variances.
  • Review and approve labor management.
  • Review machine capacity, production schedule and work order assignments.
  • Facilitate walk around meetings to discuss yield reports, labor, material, and equipment and documentation requirements.
  • Audit & correct manufacturing cycle times and report issues.
