Job Description
Job Title – Forklift Operator
Location – 6540 Franz Warner Pkwy, Whitsett, NC 27377
Contract – 12 months contract
Pay Rate – $16.50 - $17.50 USD hourly on W2
Shift – Monday – Friday, 1st Shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm / 2nd Shift 3:30 pm - 12 midnight
Job Description:
Fork Truck / Forklift Operator
Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Using pick lists or handheld computer instructions, remove material from stock to be moved to the order fill area.
- Load products into designated packages or on pallets based on order requirements, verifying counts and capturing data as required using barcode scanner and manual input to the system.
- Complete packaging of orders following established packaging guidelines. Apply labels and insert documents on the shipment.
- Perform shipment transactions on outgoing orders while verifying shipment counts and packaging integrity.
- Prepare shipment documents and works with carrier to ensure accurate loading and marking.
- Must demonstrate flexibility with regard to assignments, overtime, and business needs.
- Large Bulk (packer reporting to manager Tim Linville).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced position with strict deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a good attendance record.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time everyday.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shift.
- Grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel and/or balance.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- All other duties as assigned by the Management Team to include Supervisors, Leads, etc.
