University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Director of Development for Student Success.
The role involves managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, developing personalized engagement strategies, and collaborating with university leadership to secure philanthropic support for student success initiatives including scholarships, well-being, and career development.
Highlights- Manage a portfolio of 100 major gift prospects and donors with gifts of $100,000 or more.
- Develop and implement personalized donor engagement and solicitation strategies.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Development and division leadership to align donor interests with university priorities.
- Drive fundraising efforts across scholarships, financial aid, student well-being, career development, experiential learning, and student engagement programs.
- Contribute to a collaborative, donor-centered fundraising team environment.
- Minimum bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of professional-level direct solicitation/fundraising experience required.
- Preferred 3-5 years of major gift or account management experience, especially in a university setting.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and CRM/fundraising database software.
- Supports a hybrid work arrangement consistent with UNC System policy.
- Position reports to the Senior Director of Development within the University Development Office.
