American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a valid NC or compact license and strong circulation skills for a day shift position.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital operating room with 11 ORs including 1 CVOR and 1 cysto room
- Adult patient population with limited pediatrics
- High surgical volume with orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, urology, GYN, general, EGS, kidney stone, and thoracic cases
- Robotic procedures performed using Davinci XI
- Uses Epic EMR and Stryker equipment
- Scheduled for 10-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 17:15
- Every other weekend rotation required
- May be required to float to another local hospital campus if needed
- On-call is required only for CVOR cases, with occasional Friday overnight call but no weekend on-call
- No trauma designation at the facility
- Teaching hospital environment with residents and perioperative educator support
- Support includes charge RN and three service leads
- Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes to call; call room available on-site
- Scrub color is green and is provided by the facility
- First-time travelers will be considered

- At least 2 years of hospital operating room RN experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required for Resource Team assignments
- Strong circulation skills in OR settings required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
