ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited institution. Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry preferred. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions required.
OR
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP):
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health. Experience in substance use disorder treatment strongly preferred.
Experience in outpatient, community-based, or SAIOP/IOP settings preferred. Experience with Medicaid populations preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Active and unrestricted North Carolina license (MD/DO or PMHNP).
Active DEA registration (required for prescribing controlled substances).
X-waiver or equivalent training/authorization for buprenorphine prescribing preferred (if applicable under current federal guidelines).
Valid Driver’s License including personal vehicle insurance coverage is required (if onsite services are provided).
Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications. The following are conditions of employment: CPR, first aid, NCI, and others as specified and/or required by company policies.
OTHER
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of NC Medicaid guidelines, LME/MCO processes, and documentation requirements preferred.
Familiarity with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Develop organizational and communication skills that foster teamwork.
