Registered Nurse – Telehealth – Urology – High Point Gatewood

    Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Pay Range: $35.50 – $53.25 per hour
Education & Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least two years of acute care experience (BSN preferred).
  • Prefer acute care experience within the last 10 years.
  • Previous experience in Telephone Triage and with Health Insurance and Managed Care concepts preferred.
Licensure, Certification, and Registration
  • Current RN license in the applicable state and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Licensure in additional states as required by law or client contract.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) may be required within one year in select areas.
Essential Functions
  • Provide patient/family‑centered care, acting as partner and adviser to support patients and families in managing their health care.
  • Apply critical reasoning and clinical judgment to expedite appropriate care, especially when patients present with complex or life‑threatening conditions using telecommunication technologies.
  • Ensure proper scheduling and follow‑up on test results for providers, using active listening and evidence‑based protocols to explain results and medications.
  • Apply the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses in professional practice.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, shared governance, peer review, and leadership initiatives to promote excellence and accountability.
  • Focus on patient safety and quality of nursing care through appropriate interventions, health education, advocacy, and navigation of the health care system.
  • Maintain knowledge of care teams for coordination of patient care, self‑management, population management, and communication skill.
  • Adapt personal communication style to meet the diverse needs of patients.
  • Demonstrate exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

  • Assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients through technology methods.
  • Seek out resources independently and work collaboratively.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, and leadership.
  • Teach patients and families in accordance with the nursing plan of care.
  • Use computer systems and learn new software programs.
  • Document and communicate pertinent information using computer or paper documentation tools.
