Overview
North Carolina State Government, as one of the state's largest employers, seeks a Registered Nurse (S) to provide safe, quality nursing care within the organization. In this role, you will work with the medical staff and an interdisciplinary team to facilitate comprehensive rehabilitation and detoxification services for patients.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility is to provide a safe environment and treatment based on Professional Standards of Nursing Care in conjunction with the Medical Staff. The Registered Nurse functions as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team whose responsibility is to facilitate the bio-psycho-social rehabilitation and/or safe detoxification of the patient utilizing the nursing process: observation, evaluation, planning through identification of treatment needs, implementation of intervention and evaluation of efficacy and meeting the patient's needs as they change.
Registered Nurses also facilitate educational/supportive groups, deliver lectures, provide individual education counseling related to preventative health, medical status, medication usage, and facilitate direct interventions in crisis situations.
- Ability to independently plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Knowledge of medications and the physiological effect of those medications.
- Ability to communicate information concisely in verbal, written, or demonstration form.
- Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations.
Recruitment Range: $64,020 - $85,020 per year. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 may be offered contingent on budget approval. Sign‑on bonus eligible for new full‑time or part‑time employees working 30‑40 hours per week.
Shift and Compensation- 12‑hour day shift: 6:45 am – 7:15 pm
- 12‑hour night shift: 6:45 pm – 7:15 am
- 8‑hour shift scheduled every other week for full‑time staff (40 hr/week).
- Part‑time option: 36 hr/week, prorated salary and benefits.
- Shift premiums:
Night 20%;
Weekend 10%;
Evening 15%;
Holiday 50%.
