Mental Health Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts are scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM.

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team in a dynamic inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing diverse mental health disorders and provide high-quality care to our patients across various acuities.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adults and geriatrics with a variety of mental health diagnoses.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies effectively.
• Administer medications, including antianxiety, antidepressants, and antipsychotics, ensuring accurate dosages and timing.
• Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and assess patients’ mental health status continuously.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Implement seclusion protocols and manage involuntary commitments as needed.
• Support milieu management and behavior management techniques to create a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health nursing role.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, MOAB or CPI required.
• Experience with diverse mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation system is required.
