Charge Nurse; 1st shift

Job Overview

Pennybyrn has opportunities for Charges Nurses (RN or LPN) on 1st shift (7am-3pm) to work within Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living. Positions are available as PRN, Part-time, and Full-time.

The Charge Nurse performs duties within the scope of practice as defined by the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act. These duties include assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting on patient plans of care within skilled nursing or short‑term stay households, as well as promoting and modeling person‑directed care within the mission and values of the organization.

• Pay scale based on experience:
• LPN: $26 - $30 per hour
• RN: $30 - $35 per hour
• Shift Differentials:
• $2.00 for Weekday 2nd and 3rd shifts
• $1.50 for Weekend 1st shift
• $3.50 for Weekend 2nd and 3rd shifts

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a Nurse in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Previous experience with geriatric residents preferred
• Good physical and mental health
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents, in excess of 100 lbs.
• Ability to push and manipulate equipment, in excess of 50 lbs.
