Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated LPN or RN to join our team at Halifax County Jail. Correctional nursing offers a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare services in a structured, secure environment while working independently and utilizing a broad range of nursing skills.

Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration

Respond to patient health concerns and evaluate medical needs

Monitor chronic conditions and follow established treatment plans

Collaborate with providers regarding patient care and treatment recommendations

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Follow nursing standards, company policies, and facility procedures

Serve as the primary clinical resource during assigned shifts

Promote a safe, professional, and patient-centered healthcare environment

Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

Basic computer and documentation skills

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and facility security clearance requirements
